A 16-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after a stabbing incident Friday in near Crandon. Forest County investigators were called to a Town of Lincoln address early in the morning, where they found a man had been stabbed multiple times. Sheriff John Dennee says they arrested the teenager, and still have him in custody awaiting charges of 1st degree attempted intentional homicide.
The male victim was taken to Ministry St. Mary’s Hospital, but names have not been released, so his present condition has not been made public.
Dennee says the victim has multiple stab wounds. The sheriff does not believe there were other suspects and says there is no additional threat to the community. Authorities have not said if they know the teen’s motive.
