Badgers cruise past Northwestern

This never really felt like much of a game.  When it was done, the 19th ranked Wisconsin Badgers beat the Northwestern Wildcats 69-41 in Big Ten basketball action in Evanston.

Ben Brust and Jared Berggren scored 12-points each to lead a balanced Wisconsin attack in the win.

Northwestern was playing without 5 players due to injury.  Of the five, three were starters.  The Wildcats played hard, but they were no match for the Badgers, who out-rebounded Northwestern 47-22.  Wisconsin held Northwestern to 29% shooting from the field.

Wisconsin (19-8, 10-4 Big Ten) knocked off Northwestern for the 6th straight time.  They moved to within 1-game of second place Michigan State (22-5, 11-3) and two games of first-place Indiana (24-3, 12-2).

The Badgers are now off until next Tuesday when they host Nebraska.
