This never really felt like much of a game. When it was done, the 19th ranked Wisconsin Badgers beat the Northwestern Wildcats 69-41 in Big Ten basketball action in Evanston.
Ben Brust and Jared Berggren scored 12-points each to lead a balanced Wisconsin attack in the win.
Northwestern was playing without 5 players due to injury. Of the five, three were starters. The Wildcats played hard, but they were no match for the Badgers, who out-rebounded Northwestern 47-22. Wisconsin held Northwestern to 29% shooting from the field.
Wisconsin (19-8, 10-4 Big Ten) knocked off Northwestern for the 6th straight time. They moved to within 1-game of second place Michigan State (22-5, 11-3) and two games of first-place Indiana (24-3, 12-2).
The Badgers are now off until next Tuesday when they host Nebraska.
