After leading the Wisconsin Badgers to a pair of overtime wins during the last week,
including Saturday’s buzzer-beating 3-point shot to force overtime against No. 3 Michigan, junior Ben Brust has earned the Big Ten’s Co-Player of the Week award.
Brust scored 14 points and sank the eventual game-winning 3-pointer in overtime to lead the Badgers to a 65-62 overtime win over Michigan, their 2nd win over an AP top-3 team this season.
This is Brust’s first career player of the week honor, and UW’s first since Jordan Taylor.
Brust is averaging 11.2 points a game this season while averaging a team-best 10.5 points per game during Big Ten play.
Brust ranks seventh in the conference in 3-point field goals made (52) and eighth in 3-point field goal percentage (.400).
Brust shares the player of the week honor with Illinois’ D.J. Richardson, who averaged 18.0 points per game in wins over No. 1 Indiana and No. 18 Minnesota.
