An Oklahoma man charged in a Waupaca County sexual assault case from more than two decades ago made his initial appearance in circuit court today (Thursday).
Glendon Gouker, 41, faces a single count of first degree sexual assault for allegedly assaulting a woman at an Iola park in 1990. Gouker has also been named as a person of interest in the murders of Tanna Togstad and Tim Mumbrue in 1992. In court today, Judge Phil Kirk ordered Gouker to be held without bail.
“Yes, I believe pursuant to statute this is defined as a violent crime so that bond can be withheld. So I will order no bond, and if you made bond you wouldn’t be going anywhere except Oklahoma.”
The judge also ordered defense attorney Troy Nielson to not disclose to anyone where Gouker is being held, anytime he is in Wisconsin. Gouker is also facing murder and sexual assault charges in Oklahoma. A preliminary hearing in the Waupaca County case is scheduled for next Friday.
Assistant District Attorney Vicki Kussman asks the judge for non-disclosure of Gouker’s location to anyone.
