Five finalists have been announced to become the next chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. UW System President Kevin Reilly said Friday that he and a special Board of Regents committee would interview the finalists March 20th, and all of them will hold public forums on campus between Monday and March sixth.
The five are all provosts and/or vice presidents at their current institutions. They are Pam Benoit of Ohio University, Anne Huot of Brockport State in New York, Kent Neely of Western Oregon, James Schmidt of Winona State in Minnesota, and Kathryn Cruz-Uribe of California State in Monterrey Bay.
The new chancellor will replace Brian Levin-Stankevich. He resigned last spring to become the new president of Westminster College in Salt Lake City. Gilles Bousquet of UW-Madison has been the interim chancellor since last summer.
