A missing Wausau area woman’s husband remains jailed in Minnesota, but no charges have been filed yet.
On Tuesday, Kira Steger Trevino’s husband Jeffrey was arrested in St. Paul on suspicion of murder, but so far, Ramsey County Minnesota prosecutor John Choi has not filed formal charges. If he’s going to file charges, the deadline is 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning unless he seeks a time limit extension.
St. Paul Police Sergeant Paul Paulos said Tuesday that investigators found enough evidence inside the Trevino home to believe a crime was committed there, although he has not said what was found.
In the meantime, Kira Steger Trevino is still considered missing. She graduated from D.C. Everest High School in 2001 and has been store manager at the Mall of America for the past six years.
