Nearly 400 Wisconsinites were in Boston Monday, when explosions caused chaos at the finish line of the city’s annual marathon, killing at least three people and seriously wounding over a hundred more.
Chad Gruett of Appleton was among those from the Badger State running in the Boston Marathon. He had finished the race about 45 minutes before the explosions and was relaxing with friends just a few blocks away. He says they did not feel or hear the blast, but saw reports on TV and then started to see first responders rushing to the finish line.

Gruett is at the marathon with about a half-dozen other runners from the Fox Valley, along with friends and family. He says they are all accounted for and safe.
