The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers opened defense of their 2012 Midwest League crown with a 5-4, 11-inning victory over the Peoria Chiefs on Thursday night. Michael Reed scored the go-ahead run on an error, one of six in the game between the two teams. The Rattlers and Chiefs also combined for 16 walks in the contest.
Tyler Wagner allowed one run on four hits with a walk and 2 strikeouts in five innings of work to start.
