The Milwaukee Brewers just can’t seem to catch a break. Wily Peralta didn’t give up much, but the 3-run homer that he surrendered to Reds reserve outfielder Donald Lutz in the second inning was all the reds would need to pull out a 5-1 victory on Sunday and a sweep of the 3-game series.
It was the 4th straight loss and the 9th in the last 10-games for the Brewers, who fell to 5-games under .500 (15-20) for the season.
Bronson Arroyo blanked the Brewers on 5-hits over 6 2/3 innings. He walked 1 and struck out 5.
It certainly doesn’t get any easier for the Brewers. They head to Pittsburgh to open a 4-game series against the Pirates tonight. The Brewers will face Pirates ace A.J. Burnett at PNC Park tonight. That will be followed up by 3-games in St. Louis before the Brewers finally return home.
