Braun continued to be bothered by thumb injury

Milwaukee Brewers leftfielder Ryan Braun was pulled early from Sunday’s game (3rd inning) because of right thumb soreness.

Manager Ron Roenicke said he doesn’t want to put Braun on the disabled list, but it’s getting to the point where that may have to be considered.

Jim Henderson

The Brewers activated closer Jim Henderson on Sunday and he pitched the 9th inning in a non-save situation.  Henderson ran his fastball up to 97 mph and showed no lingering signs of the hamstring injury that originally landed him on the disabled list.
