Detroit got 24 points and 19 rebounds from Andre Drummond and 18 points and 17 rebounds from Greg Monroe on the way to a 105-98 win over the Milwaukee Bucks at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
The Bucks didn’t match up well against Detroit’s bigger lineup and playing the night before in Boston, the starters lacked energy in the loss.
The Bucks starting five scored just 23 points in the first three-quarters, yet it looked at halftime like the Bucks might have a chance. The reserves came to the rescue in the first half and sent the Bucks into the locker room up 50-45 at halftime.
When the Bucks went to the bench in the 3rd quarter, the result wasn’t the same however. Detroit took the lead and midway through the quarter and never looked back.
Forward Ersan Ilyasova had 22 points and 10 rebounds off the bench to lead the Bucks (3-15).
Detroit dominated the boards (55-43) and had 21 offensive rebounds.
Brandon Jennings hit just 4 of 16 from the field for Detroit, but finished with 17 points and 11 assists.
The Bucks are now 0-2 against Detroit this season.
