Green Bay Phoenix junior guard Keifer Sykes has been named the Horizon League Player of the Week for the fourth time this season and the eighth time in his career. Sykes averaged 19.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists in two Phoenix games last week.
Sykes has now won a program record eight Horizon League Player of the Week honors in his career and is tied for second all-time in conference history with Butler’s Darin Archbold, Loyola’s Alfrederick Hughes and Xavier’s Byron Larkin. The all-time record is 10, set by Detroit’s Rashas Phillips.
Sykes currently ranks third in the Horizon League in scoring (19.5) while also ranking second in assists per game (5.0).
