This winter’s frigid temperatures will lead to considerably higher heating bills, and a Wisconsin utility is reminding customers to work out a payment plan, if they start to fall behind. Wisconsin Public Service spokesman Kerry Spees says bills will likely be about $100 higher than last year, because of the cold January weather, and that will likely lead to more delinquent customers.
Spees says it’s difficult to whether WPS will have more disconnections than normal, when utilities can cut people off in mid-April. Spees said if people are having problems paying their bill, they should call their utility immediately, so they can work something out.
