Sun Prairie defensive tackle Craig Evans won’t be signing with the
Wisconsin football team during National Signing Day (Wednesday) tomorrow. According to the Wisconsin State Journal, Evans tweeted Monday night that he has committed to Michigan State.
On his twitter account, Evans posted, “as you all may have heard I’m no longer a Badger and no it’s not about the academics, just the best decision for me.”
The State Journal said despite what Evans tweeted, a source close to the situation said academic problems were the primary issue with UW.
Evans is listed as a four-star recruit by Scout.com and the No. 16 player nationally at his position.
