Despite four players in double figures, the Wisconsin women’s basketball team couldn’t overcome No. 22 Nebraska, falling to the Huskers 70-63 at Pinnacle Bank Arena on Sunday afternoon.
The Badgers got a team-high 16 points from Junior Nicole Bauman and 15 points from Jacki Gulczynski but fell to 8-16, 4-10 in the Big Ten. Nebraska improves to 18-7, 8-6 in the Big Ten.
The Badgers shot 40 percent from the field and 42 percent from three-point range. They out-rebounded the Huskers 45-36, but committed 20 turnovers, compared to Nebraska’s 11.
The Badgers return home to host the final two games of the regular season, hosting No. 5 Maryland on Thursday and Northwestern on Sunday for senior day.
Marquette
The Marquette women got a team-high 22 points from Arlesia Morse and knocked off the top team in the Big East, Seton Hall 73-70.
Marquette improved to 7-19 overall, 3-12 in the Big East.
