Milwaukee Brewers catcher Jonathan Lucroy and shortstop Jean Segura both received good news on Monday. Both have been sidelined by injury, but X-Rays Monday showed the necessary improvement that could see them return to the lineup in the next week.
Segura has been on the disabled list with a fractured pinky finger on his throwing hand. He is eligible to be reinstated on Friday. He’s expected to take batting practice today.
Jonathan Lucroy has been sidelined by a broken left big toe since April 21. Lucroy is expected to head out on a rehab assignment. Barring setbacks, Lucroy is expected to rejoin the Brewers lineup when they open a series in St. Louis on June 1.
