The Milwaukee Brewers signed three of their top draft picks from the 2015 First-Year Player Draft. Leading the way is the 15th overall selection Trent Clark.
Clark, an outfielder from Richland High School in Texas, received a $2.7 million signing bonus and will report to the Brewers’ training facility in Phoenix.
The Brewers also signed second-rounder Cody Ponce and third-rounder Nash Walters.
Clark and Walters will eventually go to the Arizona Rookie League. Ponce will report to the rookie team in Helena, Montana.
All three players, with their families on hand, worked out with the Brewers, toured Miller Park and stuck around to watch the Brewers and Royals at Miller Park in the series opener on Monday night.
By signing quick, all three will get into the Brewers system quickly and get to start their careers earlier than normal.
Ponce signed for more than $1.1 million, while Walters, as the 90th pick, signed for around $646,000.
