The final day of the WIAA boys state high school golf championships are underway at University Ridge golf course in Verona (near Madison) today.
The first day of the competition on Monday had a late 40-minute weather delay.
Arrowhead took a 3-shot lead into the final day of the Division 1 completion today over Green Bay Notre Dame. Middleton was a distant third.
In division 2, Lodi has a 23 shot lead on Edgewood and St. Mary’s Springs tops the division 3 field, 10 shots in front of Lancaster.
Sam Galloway of Neenah, Patrick Sicula of Whitefish Bay and Eric Van Tubbergen of Racine Case share the Division 1 individual lead at 1-under par. Nate Thomson of Eau Claire North, Alex Yost of Arrowhead and Jack Ritchay of Notre Dame are one stroke back at 71.
Adam Miller of Lodi is the individual leader after firing an even par 71. Teammate Jacob Michel is second, 1-shot back.
Taylor Ryman of Mineral Point leads all individuals in Division 3 with a 3-over-par 75. Ryman is two strokes in front of Jeff Stemper of Catholic Central and Tyler Leach of Spring Valley.
The two-day competition wraps up today.
