Highway checkpoints are being implemented in the search for a suspect in the drug-related death of a Kenosha man. Thirty-three year old Andrew Obregon of Bristol has eluded officers who chased him three times in the past week. Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth said Obregon appears to enjoy that.
“He likes the fact that he’s getting these chases, and he’s able to go through these fields, and drive stolen cars in most cases, and get away from the officers,” Beth said, adding that Obregon knows the back roads and farm fields “really well.”
Wednesday night, Kenosha County officers stopped all traffic on Highway 142 at the corners of Highways 45 and 75 in a futile search for Obregon. He’s a suspect in the apparent drug-related death of 37-year-old Tywon Anderson last month. Beth has asked for U.S. Marshals to help with the manhunt, which has been going on since last Friday.
