A Green Bay native is OK, after narrowly avoiding one of the attacks in Paris Friday.
Muse Seymour was in Paris for the weekend, and says he was walking past the restaurant where terrorists opened fire, about three minutes before they got there. He says he was going to eat there, but decided against it after seeing a menu in the window. He says when the shots rang out, and the bomb exploded near the soccer stadium, there was a lot of confusion, and some panic.
Seymour says the Paris transit system was quickly shut down, leaving many people stranded, but he says Parisians are really coming together to help each other. He says there’s actually a Twitter hashtag circulating, for people who are offering rooms in their houses, to those who need a place to stay. Seymour says he’s interested to see how the city handles the aftermath of the attack.
Seymour says the hotel he is staying in is right in the middle of the attack area, about a half mile from the restaurant where the shooting happened, and about a mile from the soccer stadium.
