The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says a very dangerous individual with an extensive criminal history was taken off the streets on Wednesday.
At 6:00 a.m, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office searched a home on County J, in the Town of Lowell. The search warrant was part of a lengthy joint investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division and the Federal Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF).
After searching the home, authorities seized about 35 guns along with thousands of ammunition rounds, and suspected drugs. An ordinance device was also located inside the home. The Milwaukee Bomb Squad was requested and determined it to be inert and safe.
Fifty-six-year-old Kirk Lupton was arrested with a charge of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. Thirty-four-year-old Richard Nutter was also arrested on a probation violation.
The case remains under investigation.
