The Wisconsin Badger football program secured an oral commitment for its 2017 class, landing Port Washington offensive lineman Tyler Beach.
The 6’6, 270-pound offensive tackle made his announcement on Twitter.
Beach wrote, “My dream is finally a reality. I would like to thank my parents for making me the man I have become today and I would like to thank all the coaches who have spent their time recruiting me. They have all given me a chance to do great things.
“With that announcement I would like to say I am committing to the University of Wisconsin-Madison!”
Beach is considered the top offensive line prospect in the state for 2017. He passed on offers from a number of top schools, including Michigan, Notre Dame, Missouri, Arkansas, Syracuse, Oregon State and Vanderbilt.
Beach becomes the eighth known commitment for UW’s 2017 class and joins three other offensive line commits, Kayden Lyles of Middleton, Logan Bruss of Kimberly and Alex Fenton from Menomonie.
