Newly unsealed court documents reveal that a West Allis man, accused of opening fire on the interstate in Sauk County on May 1st, shot at other vehicles as well, and had magazines of ammunition, a handgun and a rifle in his vehicle.
Twenty-year-old Zachary Hays is scheduled to make his initial appearance in Sauk County Court on Thursday, on a 1st degree murder charge in the death of 44-year-old Tracy Czaczkowski.
A criminal complaint states Hays’ brother Jeremy told authorities Hays appeared paranoid, and was targeting cars on the interstate with tinted windows.
Hays, who was recently released from the hospital, is also charged with murder in the shooting death of a neighbor, 42-year-old Gabriel Sanchez, in West Allis the morning of May 1st.
