A state appeals court says two teens accused of stabbing a classmate 19 times to please the fictional horror character “Slender Man” will continue to face charges as adults.
The court upheld a circuit judge’s decision not to move Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier to juvenile court — where their lawyers say they would have a better chance of getting treatment for psychological issues. Geyser and Weier are both charged with attempted homicide for allegedly stabbing Payton Leutner 19 times during a birthday sleepover in May of 2014, when both of the defendants were 12.
Each of the girls are currently being held at a juvenile facility in West Bend. A status conference in the case is set for August 19th.
