A group affiliated with the conservative Koch brothers has pulled a more than $2 million dollar ad buy in support of U.S. Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that the move by Freedom Partners Action Fund came a day after the National Senate Republican Committee modified its plan for Johnson’s campaign, pushing back an ad campaign that was to start next month until October.
The actions are another indication that Johnson may receive less outside support than expected. Johnson faces former Senator Russ Feingold in a closely watched race. Freedom Partners is funded by the billionaires Charles and David Koch.
