Newly released records show that a former Hudson police officer had sex 98 times while on duty, and spent about half his time in personal calls on his police phone.
Officer John Worden spent eight years on the police force before resigning in early May. The Hudson Star Observer obtained records about Worden after a woman filed a complaint with police in April and said she had a relationship with Worden with sex both in and outside of his patrol SUV.
Worden told the newspaper that he “screwed up” – but said that it wasn’t fair that he didn’t get to know who alerted the media about the investigation.
Police Chief Marty Jensen said Worden – who’d already been placed on administrative leave – was forced to resign to prevent a long review by the city’s police and fire commission while he stayed on the payroll. Jensen said that saved taxpayers a lot of money.
