Wily Peralta turned in a quality start in his return to the Milwaukee Brewers rotation, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the Atlanta Braves from pulling out a 2-1 victory on Tuesday night at Miller Park.
Peralta allowed just two runs on four hits in six innings of work, but the Brewers managed just four hits themselves.
Ryan Braun provided the Brewers with their only run with a solo home run.
Peralta was sent to Class AAA Colorado Springs after struggling to a 4-7 record and 6.68 ERA in 13 starts with the Brewers. He returned to the majors with better velocity (96 to 98 mph) and he got his off speed pitches across.
The Brewers dropped the first two games of the four game series with the Braves. Game three is set for tonight.
