After falling behind two-sets to none, the sixth-ranked Wisconsin volleyball team rebounded to win three straight and knock off second-ranked Texas 21-25, 24-26, 25-23, 25-21 and 20-18 in a five-set thriller.
In the third set, Texas went on an 8-2 run, scoring five consecutive points, to take a 9-5 lead, but Wisconsin battled back in a set that featured four lead changes and eight ties.
The Badgers pulled out the third and fourth sets to set up the fifth. The two teams went back and forth all the way to 18-18, until a Texas error and a Badgers block sealed the 20-18 set and a 3-2 victory in the match.
The Badgers improved to 7-1 with the victory. Texas fell to 8-2.
Wisconsin returns home to open Big Ten play, facing No. 19 Ohio State on Friday before meeting Maryland on Saturday. Both matches are set for 7 p.m. at the UW Field House.
