The Wisconsin Badgers stay at the top of women’s volleyball coaches poll should be a short one.
The Badgers fell to the third-ranked Minnesota Gophers on Wednesday night at the UW-Field House 25-20, 25-18 and 25-14.
The Gophers (14-2, 6-1) got eight digs and a team-high 12 kills from Sarah Wilhite. Sophomore Samantha Seliger-Swenson posted a match-best 41 assists in the upset.
Junior Kelli Bates led the Badgers (14-2, 6-1) with 10 kills, while senior Lauren Carlini contributed a team-high 28 assists in the loss.
The Badgers will travel to Michigan on Saturday.
