Bob Hague, News Director – Bob is a native of St. Paul who grew up listening to WCCO (”The Good Neighbor”) in the Twin Cities, and enjoying personalities like Roger Boone, Charlie Erickson and especially Steve Cannon. Bob strives for that same “connection” with listeners in his news reporting. After graduating from the College of St. Thomas with a degree in History, Bob completed the broadcast program at Brown Institute in Minneapolis, and knew right away that radio news was what he really wanted to do. Bob has spent the majority of his broadcast career in Wisconsin, with stops in Hayward, Marshfield and Rice Lake. He and his family live in Madison and enjoy everything the city has to offer, especially the parks and the Arboretum. Jackie Johnson has worked with Wisconsin Radio Network in Madison since 2002. After earning a degree in Journalism, Jackie worked at various radio stations in the Badger State, including WTMJ and WISN in Milwaukee, before landing at the statewide news network in Wisconsin’s capitol city, where she reports on state politics, anchors newscasts, and provides to WRN affiliates additional stories of statewide interest.
In addition to Jackie’s reporting skills, she also creates websites; perhaps best known is MissPronouncer.com. Jackie is the founder and creator of this online audio resource for learning how to pronounce Wisconsin place names and prominent people. The site has been recognized by the governor, and is featured on the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association’s newly created R. Perry Kidder Broadcast News Resource Center website.
Bill Scott grew up listening to and watching Wisconsin sports. Born and raised in Wild Rose, Wisconsin, Bill started his radio career in nearby Waupaca, covered news and sports for WDUX before moving on to Green Bay in 1990. While in Green Bay, Bill became the new sports director of the Wisconsin Radio Network, where he’s currently in his 10th year. In June of 2005, Bill moved to Appleton where he also does morning drive sports and play-by-play for WHBY. In addition to his network and local radio chores, Bill does does play-by-play for the WIAA state high school basketball championships, as well as pre-game coverage on the Green Bay Packers Radio Network. bscott [at] learfield.com
Andrew Beckett has been with the Wisconsin Radio Network since 2004. Before moving to the badger state, Andrew worked for several radio stations in Central Illinois and for the Illinois Radio Network. Originally from Champaign, Illinois, Andrew attended Illinois State University for his undergraduate work, where he studied television and radio. Andrew also competed for the school’s national championship winning speech team, with an emphasis on public address events. He also has a Master of Arts degree from the University of Illinois-Springfield, with an emphasis on government affairs reporting. Brian Moon is a native of Moline, Illinois whose passion for radio began while studying at a community college. At the time, he worked as a shuttle driver and would spend the day listening to the colorful personalities in news and talk radio. He then transferred to Western Illinois University where he graduated with a B.A. in Broadcasting. His first job in radio was at WOC in Davenport, Iowa. A few years later he landed in Milwaukee at WISN. Since then he’s become the latest member of the Wisconsin Radio Network. Brian is very excited to now be in the heart of Wisconsin. When he’s not working hard producing the best content he can, he enjoys the outdoors, exercising and watching bad reality shows on networks that once played music videos.
