St. Norbert College football coach Dan McCarty has announced the hiring of Green Bay native Drew Vanderlin as the teams new defensive coordinator/linebackers coach.
Vanderlin arrives at St. Norbert after spending four seasons as the defensive line coach and head strength and conditioning coach at UW-Stevens Point. Vanderlin helped develop nine all-conference defensive linemen during his first three seasons with the Pointers, including two All-Americans.
Vanderlin was a four-year starter at Michigan Tech and finished his career with the second-most sacks in school history.
Following his collegiate career, Vanderlin participated in Rookie Orientation Camps with the Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers, and was signed to the Packers’ practice squad in 2013.
