Packers pass on Lynch! Now what?

Packers sign Nance and Wynn, place Grant and Harrel on I.R.

The Green Bay Packers have signed RB Dimitri Nance and DE Jarius Wynn today and placed RB Ryan Grant and DE Justin Harrell on injured reserve.

Nance was signed off of Atlanta’s practice squad.  He originally joined the Falcons this spring as a non-drafted free agent out of Arizona State.  Nance was an honorable mention All-Pac-10 selection as a senior when he rushed for 795 yards and six touchdowns, the second straight season he led the Sun Devils in rushing.

Grant is out for the year after suffering an ankle injury in Sunday’s win over the Eagles.

Wynn, the first of two sixth-round picks by the Packers in 2009, played in 11 games as a rookie last season.  He was released by the Packers in the final roster cut-down this year on Sept. 4.
