UW-Whitewater football coach Lance Leipold was named the American Football Coaches Association’s (AFCA) Division 3 Coach of the Year.

Leipold led the Warhawks to a 15-0 record this past season and their third straight NCAA Division III Championship.

The Warhawks advanced the Stagg Bowl all five seasons under Leipold, claiming the National Crown four times.  The Warhawks currently own the longest win streak in college football at 45 straight wins.

Warhawks rewarded!

UW-Whitewater’s Levell Coppage was selected the NCAA Division III College Offensive Player of the year by d3football.com.  Coppage rushed for 2,120 yards this season, averaging 5.6 yards per carry.

The Warhawks won their third straight Division III Championship, knocking off rival Mount Union 13-10 in last Friday’s championship game.
