Alvarez could be headed for broadcast booth

June 27, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Former Badger football coach and current athletic director Barry Alvarez could be headed for the broadcast booth. Alvarez has reportedly auditioned for Fox-TV and is being considered as a game analyst. Alvarez cleared the idea of broadcasting with Chancellor John Wiley before auditioning. Fox will take over the rights to broadcast college football's Bowl Championship Series this season.
