Barnwell gets callup by Brewers

After six years and more than 600 minor league games, Chris Barnwell was called up by the Brewers on Tuesday. The Brewers 25th round draft pick in 2001. Along with Barnwell, the Brewers activated pitcher Rick Helling and send little used reliever Joe Winkelsas back to the minors and designated Allan Simpson for assignment. Barnwell earned his chance by hitting .326 in 66 games at Triple A Nashville.
