When Doug Davis couldn't make his scheduled start on Thursday because of tightness in his back, the Brewers went to Geremi Gonzalez and the former Cub didn't disappoint. Gonzalez worked 5 innings, allowing 2 runs and 3 hits to helpt he Brewers pull out a 5-4 win, taking 3 out of 4 from the Cubs at Wrigley Field. It's the first win for Gonzalez as a starter since May of 2005 with the Red Sox. The Brewers handed Mark Prior his 3rd straight defeat, scoring 4 of the 5 runs with 2 outs. Derrick Turnbow worked the 9th to earn his 23rd save.
