Kendall among leaders at Buick Championship

Fox Point native Skip Kendall fired a 2-under par 68 on day one of the Buick Championship yesterday and finds himself 3-shots off the lead heading to round 2 today. Heath Slocum, Peter Lonard, Harison Frazar and Scott Verplank are in a 4-way tie for the lead at 5-under par. Six others are just a shot back. Madison's Jerry Kelly finished his opening round a 2-over par. Pewaukee native Marc Wilson is 4-over and Appleton native J.P. Hayes is 5-over after his opening round.
