Badgers' Ward selected to Big Ten Foreign team

July 10, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Wisconsin women's basketball player Danielle Ward was selected to be part of the 12-member Big Ten foreign tour women's basketball team that will travel to Denmark, Norway and Sweden July 18-28. The team, which includes players from all 11 conference schools, will play four games over 11 days on the tour. Illinois' Theresa Grentz will serve as head coach of the Big Ten Foreign team. Ward, who will be a junior at UW, averaged 10.2 points per game for the Badgers in 2005-06. She also led the team in blocks and earned a spot into the starting lineup midway through the season.
