Brewer shortstop JJ Hardy will miss the rest of the season. The team announced on Tuesday that Hardy will have season ending ankle surgery later this week. Hardy was hurt in mid-May while sliding into home against the Phillies. He's expected to be fully recovered for Spring Training in 2007…To make room for Tomo Ohka on the active roster, the Brewers sent pitcher Zach Jackson down to Triple-A Nashville…The Milwaukee District Attorney's Office announced on Tuesday that they will not file charges against Reds pitcher Brian Shakelford. The reliever was arrested at Miller Park on July 5th on accusations of sexual assault. The was then sent to the minors by Cincinnati.
