Brewers Blank Cubs

July 7, 2006 By WRN Contributor

The Brewers got back over the .500 mark for the first time since May 29th with a 2-0 win over the Cubs at Miller Park on Thursday night. Lefty Chris Capuano out-pitched future Hall of Famer Greg Maddux to notch his 10th win of the season. Cappy gave up 6 hits and struck out 6 in just his 2nd career complete game. Rickie Weeks went 2×4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI to lead the Milwaukee offense. The Brewers and Cubs continue their series tonight at Miller Park as Carlos Zambrano takes on Zach Jackson.
