Brewers Rally For Win

July 4, 2006 By WRN Contributor

The Brewers rallied for a pair of runs in the bottom of the 9th to beat the Reds 8-7 at Miller Park on Monday afternoon. All-Star closer Derrick Turnbow gave up three runs in the top of the 9th to blow a two run Milwaukee lead, but his team battled back to bail him out. Three straight singles by Rickie Weeks, Bill Hall, and Geoff Jenkins tied the game, and Lee's RBI single to right-center plated Hall with the game winning run. The win was Milwaukee's 22nd come from behind win in 26 victories at Miller Park this season. Matt Wise picked up the win in relief of Turnbow. The series continues Tuesday afternoon at Miller Park.
