Brewers Win Wild One

July 6, 2006 By WRN Contributor

The Brewers got back to the .500 mark with a wild 6-5 win in 13 innings over Cincinnati last night at Miller Park. Geoff Jenkins hit a solo homer in the bottom of the 10th to tie the game at 5-5 after Adam Dunn took Derrick Turnbow deep in the top of the inning. That homer ended a 142 at-bat homerless streak for Jenks. Cincy took the lead again in the top of the 13th when Juan Castro scored all the way from 2nd on a sac bunt. Rickie Weeks came back and hit a bases loaded, two-run double to win it in the bottom of the 13th. Geremi Gonzalez was the winner for the Brewers. Milwaukee opens up a four game series with the Cubs tonight at Miller Park. Chris Capuano will start against Greg Maddux. They will throw the first pitch at 7:05pm.
