Jennings could start for Packers

July 31, 2006 By WRN Contributor

The last time the Green Bay Packers started a rookie wide receiver on opening day was in 1992, when Robert Brooks got the call. The Packers have another potential rookie starting candidate in their camp in 2nd round draft pick Greg Jennings. Jennings has been turning heads during the first week of training camp at wide receiver. His talent, along with the lack of talent at the position could give Jennings an opportunity to be a front runner.
