Pavelski signs with Sharks

July 13, 2006 By WRN Contributor

It looks like the Wisconsin Badger hockey team has lost its leading scorer, Joe Pavelski to the NHL. According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Pavelski signed a contract with the San Jose Sharks and returned it to the team this week. Pavelski's mother Sandy said her son is waiting for word that the deal was officially complete. When that happens, the Badgers will have lost their top two scorers from last years championship team, Robbie Earl and Pavelski. It looks like Jack Skille, who is a 2005 first round pick of the Chicago Blackhawks, will be back for his sophomore season.
