Three Brewers to play in All-Star game tonight

July 11, 2006 By WRN Contributor

1983 is the last time the Milwaukee Brewers had at least three players on the all-star team. That year, the Brewers had four. Cecil Cooper, Ben Oglivie, Ted Simmons and Robin Yount. Tonight at P-N-C Park in Pittsburgh, Chris Capunano will be joined by Carlos Lee and Derrick Turnbow. Capuano is making is first appearance after going 10-4 on the mound in the first half. He's filling in for Tom Glavine, who can't pitch tonight because he pitched for the Mets on Sunday and had to withdraw. Derrick Turnbow is also making his first appearance and Carlos Lee, who goes into the break with 26 home runs, is making his second straight appearance in a Brewers uniform.
