Baseball America names Zimmerman top prospect from Northwoods League

Baseball America announced Eau Claire Express pitcher Jordan Zimmermann as the best college prospect of the Northwoods League for the 2006 season. Zimmerman led all pitchers in the league with a 1.01 ERA and finished second with 92 strikeouts. In 80.0 innings of work, Zimmerman allowed only nine earned runs on 42 hits. The Auburndale native and current member of the UW-Stevens Point squad finished the season with a 4-2 record.
