Brewers continue road struggles

August 7, 2006 By WRN Contributor

The Milwaukee Brewers haven't been able to consistently win on the road all season and that trend continued this weekend. Milwaukee dropped to 20-36 away from Miller Park with yesterday's 7-1 loss to the Cardinals in St. Louis. Jeff Suppan allowed just four hits over 7 1/3 innings to help the Cardinals take 2 of 3 in the series. The only Brewers run came on Mike Rivera's 8th inning homer. The Brewers fell to 52-59 overall, 5-games back in the wildcard race with 51 games to play. They'll take the day off today and open a short 3-game homestand with the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday at Miller Park.
