Cirillo says Rockies using illegal baseball's

August 2, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Milwaukee Brewers infielder Jeff Cirillo says illegal, waterlogged baseballs are the real reason runs are harder to come by at Coors Field nowadays. Cirillo yesterday said he compared a baseball that came from Milwaukee to one that was used in that night's game. He says the one from Denver was spongy, puffy and heavy. Brewers manager Ned Yost said the allegations are “nuts”. But Cirillo says he's serious and wants baseball to investigate his claims.
