Favre cutting back on his time with the media

August 31, 2006 By WRN Contributor

Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre is cutting back on his time with the media. Instead of holding weekly press conferences, Favre is sticking with the preseason format to meet with the media every other week. He said he'll probably speak after games, but last year ne stopped doing that late in the season. Last season, Favre quit doing weekly teleconferences with the visiting media as well. Favre is entering his 16th NFL season, 15th with the Packers. Favre was also asked during his press conference yesterday about the prospects of another difficultseason because he is surrounded by young, inexperienced players. “What do you want me to do, quit?” Favre said. “You're asking me this question; I'm well aware of it. Are you saying that it's not worth it?”
